If the Status in VibConfig is "Offline" or you receive a firmware mismatch error when trying to run a test, you will likely need to upgrade or downgrade your firmware version to match the installed software.
Instructions to Update VibPilot-E Firmware
Step 1: Uninstall the VibControl Service
- Open VibConfig by going to the m+p Toolbar > Utils... > Configuration
- Select Stop Service
- Select Uninstall Service
Step 2: Update the Firmware
- In Windows File Explorer, navigate to C:\VcpNT\VP24_Update
- Unzip the file Firmware.zip using the password "firmware"
- In the newly created Firmware folder, run executable VibPilotE_Firmware_x_x_x_xxx.exe
- If multiple units are connected, select them all using the shift key and select Ok to add.
- Select Update Firmware Now !
Note: Each revision of VibControl uses a unique firmware version. Please run the file contained in firmware.zip. Older revisions of the software may not contain vpE firmware. In this case update your software or contact m+p support.
Step 3: Restart the Hardware and the Service
- Power off all devices for 10 seconds and then power on.
- Select Start Service from VibConfig, as described in Step 1.
The need to update firmware can occur most often after a calibration procedure or when updating software to the latest revision.
