m+p Analyzer can be used to configure tests without hardware attached by using the Simulated Hardware option in the Hardware Selector. Up to 480 channels can be configured! This is especially useful for configuring tests without access to hardware, to be used later when the hardware is available.

To configure Simulated Hardware:

  1. With m+p Analyzer closed, open the Hardware Selector Program from the Windows Start Menu or Desktop Shortcut.
  2. Select the Simulated Hardware radio button.
  3. In the Simulated Hardware Configurator, you can either choose the Last Connected Hardware (For a specific configuration) or one of the Standard Configuration options, as shown below.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Select OK to close the Hardware Selector.
  6. Open m+p Analyzer, the Inputs and Sources tabs will now show the simulated hardware.

After the above steps, you can save a project or configuration and open/import or load, respectively, when the hardware is reconnected. All the Input and Source information will be preconfigured!
